You will be greeted by your guide at the hotel and after a brief introduction you start walking to the Mto wa Mbu village tour. Today you are going to explore the culture of the people living in the Mto wa Mbu area and get views of the Great Rift valley. The walk passes through small banana plantations and farms. You will visit a family to get an inside look at the homes and exquisite crafts of Mto wa Mbu’s many tribes. You are going to learn more about banana beer, Makonde wood carvings, and the tribe painting techniques, kisu and tingatinga.
Thereafter you can enjoy a delicious home cooked meal in a local moma’s home. Over lunch, your guide will provide a history of the region and the many local tribes. All visitors can expect to leave with a full stomach, many great stories.

The tour doesn’t end yet, with new energy you make your way to climb to the top of the rift valley wall for brief taking views of Lake Manyara, the village of Mto wa Mbu and Maasai Steppe beyond. Also, see array of diverse of local bird species and magnificent 2000 years old baobab trees.

With new impressions you head back through the village to your hotel and you can review what you have experienced on this tour.
