This multi-day tour gives you an insight of the Swahili culture and includes a Stone Town Tour, Spice Tour and visit to a fisher village. On the last evening you will do a spectacular sunset cruise.

Day 1 Arrival – Stone Town

On arrival at Zanzibar International Airport or the harbor, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. You have time to relax and if  your schedule provides enough time we can arrange a Stone Town tour today. Your guide will introduce you to the historical buildings of interest and other attractions. Stone Town is full of history and stories of the old times of Zanzibar, when Sultans and Arabs, the Europeans and Zanzibaris inhabitated this beautiful island. You will visit the the Old Arabic Fort, the Palace of the Sultans,  Anglican Cathedral and the Slave markets, Tip Tip’s House, Forodhani Park and of course the famous Zanzibar carved doors in our narrow streets. We will learn more about Henna Art and visit a fruit and vegetable market. Breakfast

Day 2 Spice Tour

After breakfast we leave the hotel for a spice tour. We take you to nearby farm lands and your guide will explain more about spices which grow on Zanzibar. Would you recognize a Cinnamon Tree? Or green, red and black pepper is the same plant? Learn about the cultivation of vanilla and why is it so expensive. After you have finished your tour, fully packed with gifts from the nature you can purchase spices and produces sold by the community.
Dinner

Day 3  Northern Zanzibar

Today we travel north and we visit the fish market of Mkokotoni, you will see how nails for dhows are made. You can see how Zanzibaris build dhows and repair old dhows.  We head to the village of Nungwi to pay a visit at the turtle sanctuary.  After lunch at a local restaurant you return to your Hotel.
In the late afternoon you will be picked up at the hotel for a sunset cruise along the aterfron of Stone Town. Lunch, Dinner

Day 4 Depart

After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight or the ferry terminal. End of our services. Breakfast

Please note that if the stone Town tour didn’t take place on day 1 it can be moved to day 4.
